| The Good |
Everything as above. Foreign languages department is good. Nice faculty. Cr@ppy language lab. |
| The Bad | Everything as above. Mosquitoes from April until first freeze. Wildlife behind and IN the "apartment". No mattress on bed. A/C and heat broken most of the time. FAO is worthless. He doesn't speak English. |
| Overall | Stay away from this place. The living conditions are terrible. Shopping is 25 miles away or more. Yangzhou is not a very foreigner-friendly place. Nothing to do there. |

| The Good | The students are very polite and respectful. The Chinese teachers are also nice. |
| The Bad | The living conditions are quite bad. Walls are covered with mold. there is only one room and a shower/toilet room. The washer is very bad. The refrigerator smells very bad. There are pots and a hot plate but there is nowhere to cook. My bed has no mattress.There is no television. The computer in my room does not work and I suspect someone in the school IT department has broken into it. The school does not care about its foreign teachers, and it cannot attract good ones for long. |
| Overall | Do not teach here. You will be very unhappy. The accommo0dations are very very bad and the foreign teachers are treated like trash. |

Review
| The Good | The students are very friendly and curious. The teachers are mostly nice, though I did have problems with one of the Chinese teachers. |
| The Bad | Thoroughly disgusting living conditions. The FAO/waiban is not to be trusted at all. Contracts contained (possibly) illegal clauses and conditions. The FAO office does not respect the foreign teachers at all. Foreign teachers' activities are monitored. One must sign in und out and overnight guests are forbidden, something which is somewhat difficult for an adult to accept. Cameras and sensing devices are EVERYWHERE around the foreign teachers' caves. Why? |
| Overall | The school is located a long way from the city, so shopping for food is difficult. Unless one cares to eat in the filthy local restaurants or eat in the disgusting cafeteria, there is little choice but to buy a scooter und drive to the city or ride the public transport with the lokal people. |
